Some industry insights around character that may help your search
Understand the important difference between a caricature & an actual character
A caricature may be a tall man, with dark hair, piercing blue eye's wearing a 1950's dark suit and hat. Or perhaps a curvy blond with a red dress, or a tall US soldier from WW2 smoking a cigarette. These are important elements that flavour a story or world and create a 'feel'.
A character, or character actor however has absorbed the story of the 'world' they exist in, and all their behaviour reflects this, so as an audience, we feel that we are in that world, somehow becoming emotionally invested. They might drive or lead the story (the training level would typically be 2+ years of training to be believable).
Keep in mind, our most skilled and highly experienced actors have dedicated years fine tuning their training, and love being generous of their time on certain productions such as University, TAFF or non-commercial projects. Though not expected if you're not making a profit, when someone sets aside even a small amount to acknowledge the actor, this will often stay with them for many years into their career.
